On Friday, October 26, 2012 at approximately 1400 hours our lodge was notified by the PSTA President that there had been discussions to reschedule the beginning of the arbitration hearings due to Hurricane Sandy. (The arbitration hearings are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1000 hours.) Our lodge was informed that instead of postponing the opening date it had been decided that the hearing would proceed as scheduled but only PSTA members who are scheduled to testify and the lawyers would or should be present. All other members should not attend to ensure their availability if needed to assist in any potential hurricane response.
Our lodge questioned if the original schedule would resume for the 2nd day of hearings scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2012. We were informed that a decision had not been made.
