Cops Fired And Suspended For Unacceptable Off-Duty Comments Under Newspeak

Sticks and stones may break my bones but nowadays off-duty posts and/or comments could get me fired.

If you choose to opine about someone via social media consider opining only about someone who is not a member of the government’s protected groups.

Example:

√     Approved: Those 3 drunk white guys acted like animals.

X     Unapproved: Those 3 drunk black guys acted like animals.

One officer posted a picture of the Confederate flag… Another posted a meme that said, “Death To Islam.” Numerous posts in the database described black men as “animals.”

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia is experiencing a spike in shootings and homicides as summer nears. In Frankford on Tuesday morning, a 26-year-old man was killed after someone shot him multiple times in the head, chest and legs, and overnight in Southwest Philadelphia, a 14-year-old boy was shot while he was outside with his friends.

In the Frankford homicide, neighbors counted at least a dozen gunshots zipping through the air near Brill and Horrocks Streets. The shooting happened near Ed Kuhn’s home, who is getting frustrated with the amount of shootings in the city. Continue reading
