“I’m always amazed politicians thinking they can wave a magic wand and suspend reality.” BLM advocate and PA Gov. Tom Wolf
“By offering a non-binary gender designation, Pennsylvanians can have a driver’s license or photo ID card that truly reflects who they are,” BLM advocate and PA Gov. Tom Wolf said in a recorded video statement.
In a powerful commentary in the Feb. 3 edition of The Wall Street Journal, biologists Colin Wright and Emma Hilton explain that, scientifically, there are only two sexes, male and female, and there is no sex “spectrum.” They also stress that “biologists and medical professionals” must stop being politically correct and “stand up for the empirical reality of biological sex.”
In conclusion, they state, “The time for politeness on this issue has passed. Biologists and medical professionals need to stand up for the empirical reality of biological sex. When authoritative scientific institutions ignore or deny empirical fact in the name of social accommodation, it is an egregious betrayal to the scientific community they represent. It undermines public trust in science, and it is dangerously harmful to those most vulnerable.”
Thursday, July 23, 2020 / PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Pennsylvania as of Thursday is offering driver licenses and identification cards with a gender-neutral designation for people who do not want to be identified as either male or female.
PennDOT said that people can now choose that option in addition to the “male” or “female” designation. It will let motorists and those needing a state-issued identification card to use “X” as a third option to indicate gender.
The addition of the non-binary option comes at a cost for states, as reported by Fortune. Pennsylvania, which has only initiated the process of updating its licenses, said the costs were already at $120,788.
