The right wing-hating, information-controlling executives at Twitter have accomplished a new feat: Publicly shaming the nation of Uganda for censoring information during a contentious election.
The head-turning post, which was published Tuesday by the corporation’s Public Policy team, comes after reports Internet service providers are being ordered to block social media and messaging apps.
“We strongly condemn,” the tweet reads, “Internet shutdowns — they are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet.”
Corrine Weaver of MRC TechWatch says it’s almost amusing to watch the “doubled-sided” actions of Twitter, which has permanently banned President Trump and, before Election Day, froze out The New York Post (pictured below) for its exclusive story on Hunter Biden’s left-behind laptop and its questionable content.
