A Canadian judge has banned truckers from constantly honking their horns during protests against vaccine mandates which have brought Ottawa for a standstill. Ontario Superior Court Justice Hugh McLean issued a 10-day injunction, effective as of yesterday, on stationary trucks honking their horns in the Freedom Convoy. He said: ‘Tooting a horn is not an expression of any great thought I’m aware of.’ He added that the local residents’ right to peace and quiet outweighed the truckers’ right to protest. It comes as Justin Trudeau hit out at the truckers who have paralyzed Ottawa’s business district for over a week by blocking the roads. During an emergency debate in Parliament on Monday, while the protest continued outside, Trudeau said: ‘It has to stop. ‘Individuals are trying to blockade our economy, our democracy, and our fellow citizens´ daily lives. ‘This pandemic has sucked for all Canadians,’ Trudeau stated raising his voice. ‘Everyone’s tired of Covid, but these protests are not the way to get through it.’
