NC State play-by-play announcer Gary Hahn is suspended indefinitely for saying ‘amongst the ILLEGAL ALIENS in El Paso’ during Duke Mayo Bowl radio broadcast

The North Carolina State University football play-by-play announcer has been suspended indefinitely for an on-air comment during the Mayo Bowl. 

Longtime commentator Gary Hahn has been taken off the airwaves by Learfield Communications – NC State’s broadcast rightsholder – after referencing ‘illegal aliens down in El Paso.’ 

‘Amongst all the illegal aliens down in El Paso, it’s UCLA 14 and Pittsburgh 6…’ 

Hahn was making the comment in relation to the plethora of migrants pouring through the into US via El Paso, TX.

‘LEARFIELD has suspended Wolfpack Sports Network Play-by-Play announcer Gary Hahn from his agreement indefinitely following comments made during today’s Duke Mayo Bowl radio broadcast,’ Kyle Winchester, general manager of the Learfield Wolfpack Sports Network told Dailymail.com.

Known as the ‘Voice of the Wolfpack’, Hahn has been the radio commentator for NC State football and basketball games since 1990-91. 

He was the North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year in 2011 and 2020.

As thousands of migrants have made their way to and through the border this year out of fear that Title 42 would end, Texas has seen an influx of some migrants killing local pets, stealing from shops, and knocking on doors late at night. 

‘It’s pretty scary,’ he said. ‘We’re getting used to it already because unfortunately, nothing is really being done.’

‘The Biden Administration has been flying migrants all around the country and oftentimes in the cover of night, or dumping migrants in Texas border communities that are already overrun and overwhelmed by the historic influx of illegal immigration,’ Eze told DailyMail.com of the hypocrisy from Biden.

• Migrants near the Texas border were caught on camera trying to break into a woman’s ranch house earlier this month 
• They were seen trying to kick down her door and pry open the windows before  using a piece of 2×4 as a battering ram
• However, they were unable to get in after she spent $13,000 upgrading her security amid the spike in attempted break-ins 
• She noted that her neighbors were not so lucky as the group broke into their home, but fled the scene by the time Border Patrol arrived 
• The incident is part of the growing chaos in the US border as migrants flock to try and enter the country amid the uncertainty over Title 42
