Biden to appoint anti-book ban coordinator in move to protect LGBTQI+ Americans

The White House called purported book bans a danger to democracy

The White House on Thursday announced a new effort to combat “book bans” as part of several actions designed to protect LGBTQI+ Americans unveiled during Pride month.

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights will appoint a new coordinator to “address the growing threat that book bans pose for the civil rights of students,” the White House said Thursday.

“Gender Queer” has courted major controversy among America’s parents for being in public school libraries throughout the U.S. and has been challenged for its depictions and descriptions of oral sex, as well as discussions of masturbation.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) carried out an eyebrow-raising demolition of CNN for its hypocrisy of cheering on the Justice Department’s indictment of President Trump while also employing serial liars and Deep State mainstays James Clapper and Andrew McCabe.

McCarthy was being questioned by CNN congressional reporter Lauren Fox when he said the “real concern” of House Republicans and Americans across the country was that “equal justice is not playing out here” when, instead, the justice system has been “weaponized.”
