Update: York County DA drops citation against woman ticketed for driving around during stay at home order
Anita Shaffer said she was cited for violating Gov. Tom Wolf’s Stay at Home order by a state trooper when she was out for a drive last week.
The laws that grant them the citation powers include a 1955 law, which is the same one Dr. Rachel Levine, the state’s health secretary, has cited for withholding details about COVID-19 cases
A 19-year-old York County woman went out for a drive just to get out of the house for awhile on Sunday evening and was circling her way back home when she was stopped by two state police … said she saw the police cars parked in Yoe. After passing them, the police started following her until they pulled her over in Red Lion.
